The Herne Centre is a community hub serving the residents of Herne and Broomfield.
Situated behind the car park at the bottom end of School Lane, it was built by the Parish Council, in response to public consultation, to provide a local, modern, accessible and environmentally friendly building for community use. It took 15 years to come to fruition and was opened in June 2018. The process involved a great deal of time and community input. The council are very proud of the results as it is a wonderful community asset.
The Centre provides access to activities that would not otherwise be available, as well as providing a venue suitable for weddings, parties, meetings and conferences. It also provides a permanent home for the Parish Office.
